Bamboo Bed Sheets
1. Do I have to wash the Bamboa bed sheets after buying them?
All of Bamboa’s bed sheets are pre-washed therefore they do not need to be washed after purchase.
2. How best to wash them and care for them?
Our bamboo bed sheets can be machine washed. We recommend a maximum temperature of 40 degrees C (100 degrees Fahrenheit), which is not cold but warm. We recommend washing with an eco friendly detergent, as these tend to be more gentle towards fabrics. Softener is not necessary. The bamboo bed sheets naturally become softer with age.
3. Can I dry my bamboo bed sheets in the dryer?
The bamboo bed sheets can be put into the dryer for a short period of 5-10 minutes on a lower temperature. If you cannot regulate the temperature, then no longer than five minutes. We recommend that you hang them immediately after to avoid creases.
4. Do they crease easily?
Although bamboo bed sheets resemble silk due to the soft texture, they do not wrinkle like silk does. They crease and wrinkle just as little as cotton. After washing and drying it’s best to hang them up immediately to avoid creasing.
5. Do they develop lint balls? Do they pill?
Our bamboo bed sheets do not pill. In case they do pill, it may be because of using an aggressive detergent.
6. Can I use bleach?
Absolutely no bleach. For any stain treatment use bicarbonate of soda mixed with white vinegar and leave it on the stain for half an hour. Thereafter wash as normal.
7. How often should I change the sheets?
Due to the antibacterial property inside the Bamboo fibers, you will notice them staying fresh much longer (2x) than cotton. Therefore this is also energy saving and they don’t need to be washed as frequently as cotton sheets.
8. If we have a special size can you make these?
Yes, Bamboa can tailor make your bed sheets according to your dimensions at a slightly higher price depending on the dimensions. Send us an email to hello@bamboahome.com and we shall get back to you immediately.
9. What is the warranty on the Bamboa bed sheets?
Bamboa takes pride in its excellent quality and customer service. Once our bamboo bed sheets have been used or washed we can no longer accept returns. However should there be any issues, our team is always ready to assist you in every possible way.
10. How is fabric made from bamboo?
Bamboo fabric is a natural textile made from the pulp of the bamboo grass, the bamboo fiber is then made by pulping the bamboo grass until it separates into thin threads of fiber, which is then spun and dyed for weaving into cloth.
All our bamboo fabrics are Oeko tex certified.
